Description
This class consists of both instructor-led and student-led activities, and includes theoretical and practical application of course content.
Objectives
This dual-branded course will enable the student to understand the operation of CNH precision application (planting, seeding and spraying/spreading) systems and to successfully and efficiently service these systems.
Topics covered include:
- Principles of CNH precision planting, seeding and spraying/spreading systems (components, setup/calibration, operation and troubleshooting)
- High-level overview and principles of CNH autoguidance systems on tractors and sprayers/floaters (components, setup/calibration, operation and basic electrical/hydraulic system operations)
- Headland Turn Sequence setup and operation.
- Basic desktop software operation (archiving/viewing data, exporting setup information to CNH color displays)
- Using the Electronic Service Tool (EST) with precision application systems.
- Fundamentals of Differential Global Positioning Systems (DGPS)
